UK broadband internet is cheaper

How long have we waited for this piece of news!

If you’re in the UK, and you spend more than two hours online a week, a basic broadband package is now cheaper than using an analogue modem.  (I won’t use the term dial-up, many broadband modems still work by dialing up the local exchange)

Studies show that broadband, with it’s significantly better surfing experience, encourages people to spend more time online.  This means more online shopping and a much greater range of media now available to them, particularly online video.  And there’s no shortage of that at the moment, with big broadcasters like Channel 4, ITV and the BBC all developing online video services.
